Isolated Limb Perfusion for Malignant Melanoma: Clinical and Laboratory Studies, Volume I
[摘要] Malignant melanoma is usually considered a rare cancer but data from countries with good records show the incidence doubling in recent decades. Only lung cancer in women is increasing at a higher rate. The current incidence rate of malignant melanoma in Scotland is 8-10 new cases per 100,000 annually. Public education may help to prevent the disease and increase the rate of diagnosis at an early curable stage, thereby improving the overall prognosis. There is, however, a need for an effective treatment of high risk primary lesions and advanced malignant melanoma.
