On the Frequency Distribution of Earthquakes

[摘要] Prof. Terada has recently discussed (not yet published) on the relation between the observed frequency of earthquakes and the distribution of seismological stations. This paper is made by the same idea on the relation between the frequency of earthquakes observed at a station and the seismic energy as well as the depth of focus. After some theoretical treatments are made, it is statistically investigated by the actual data of earthquake frequency observed at the Central Meteorological Observatory, Tôkyô. (July, 1932)
