Studies of Clostridium perfringens Type A Enteritis in the Pig

[摘要] Clostridium perfringens type A was isolated from 27 of 60 natural cases of diarrhoea and enteritis in pigs. In 14 cases C. perfringens type A was recovered in profuse culture and no other potential pathogens were isolated. Its presence was associated with enteritis in young piglets but accurate description of associated lesions was prevented by post-mortem change.
