Diagram for Prediction of the Time of Sunrise and Sunset

[摘要] Diagrams for prediction of the local mean time of sunrise and sunset in the whole world were constucted (Fig. 1-Fig. 8) for the 1st, 11th, 15th and 21st day of each month. A numerical table was given for reducing these local mean times to any standard meridian. Another and more convenient correction diagram was given in Fig. 9 for the particular purpose of reducing them to the Japanese standard time of 135°E meridian.
