[摘要] The equations of motion and continuity adopted in this report are as follows:Here κ is the coefficient of friction and the other notations denote the same as those in the first part of our report(1).To simplify the matter, κ is assumed to have the form:where k is a constant. Thus the cefficient of friction is k at the equator and increases wiht latitude. The velocity components are readily derivable as follows, from the initial conditions ofThe motion towards the northern hemisphere is calculated and the stream lines corresponding to the various values of υλ0, υθ0, θ0 and k are given in Figs. 1_??_5. It is seen here that the veering of air across the wquator is generally accelerated by the frictional resistance.
