Tropical Wave Disturbances Over the Region East of Indian Ocean

[摘要] Attempt has been made to identify equatorial waves, of the type described by Yanai and Maruyama in the tropical Pacific, over the region east of the Indian Ocean. The study has shown that occurrence of such waves in the lower stratosphere is a strong possibility in the region under question.
