Measurements of Stratospheric Ozone by the Chappuis Baud Absorption

[摘要] Stratospheric ozone in the altitude region of 15-25 km has been measured by a balloonborne sun-photometer. Concentrations of ozone deduced from the absorption of sunlight in the Chappuis band are generally in good agreement with those obtained by ozonesondes on board the same balloons. Possible causes of differences between the profiles obtained by the two different methods are discussed and the accuracy of the present method is estimated.
