EXTRACTIVE DISTILLATION CALCULATIONS BY MODIFIED RELAXATION METHOD

[摘要] References(18)Cited-By(6)A modified relaxation procedure is developed for calculations of the multicomponent distillation column. The method is applied to extractive distillation to calculate the product distribution and the composition and temperature profile in the column when feed conditions, flow rates, number of plates, locations of feed plates, and reflux ratio are specified. The method is simple and numerically stable. Some problems are discussed to demonstrate the feasibility of the procedure.
