Androgen deprivation therapy for prostate cancer—review of indications in 2010

[摘要] The discovery of androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) has been one of the most important advances in the treatment of prostate cancer. Here, the indications for the use of ADT are reviewed, together with the data supporting each indication. The settings for ADT use include cytoreduction; combined ADT and radiotherapy; pathologic node-positive disease; and recurrent, metastatic, or progressive prostate cancer.
