Oedematous Bauhinitis: a rare endoscopic diagnosis in ileocaecal disease

[摘要] Isolated Bauhinitis is a rare cause of non-specific abdominal symptoms in adults. Modern descriptions of the disease are lacking. We report two current cases with an overview of the literature and a discussion of the aetiology, clinical signs, diagnostic findings, and treatment guidelines. Colonoscopic and histological findings are used to diagnose the condition. Conservative treatment is the mainstay of management, but recurrent symptoms often lead to the necessity for ileocaecal resection.
