Anticandidal Activity of Phenanthrenol from Blighia sapida Koenig (Sapindaceae)
[摘要] A new Phenanthrenol; Dodecahydro-1H-cyclopenta[a] phenanthren-10-ol was isolated from the stem bark of Blighia sapida Koenig (Sapindaceae), a medicinal plant used in Nigerian traditional medicine. The structural elucidation was based on analyses of spectroscopic data. The isolate was assessed against clinical strain of Candida albicans. The minimum inhibition concentration (MIC) of this compound (1.6 μg/mL) is the basis of this report.
