Transdermal approaches in drug delivery

[摘要] The authors have advocated the basics and applications of transdermal drug delivery – an approach used to deliver drugs through the skin for therapeutic use as an alternative to oral, intravascular, subcutaneous, and transmucosal routes. Various transdermal drug delivery technologies are described including the scientific basics for the design and use of suitable formulations, carriers and penetration enhancers. The established and contingent technological frameworks with construction components and kinetic principles for the most commonly used devices for the transdermal delivery of therapeutic molecules are detailed.
