What's so Funny?: Families in the Comics
[摘要] Comic strips are among those cultural artifacts most commonly taken purely at face value, usually ingested whole and without question. Canady, in the foreword to ;;The Smithsonian Collection of Newspaper Comics,;; says ;;The comics are ubiquitous. You don’t have to follow a strip for its identity to have somehow entered your consciousness: the comics affect your way of feeling about the daily world whether or not you read them;; (8). This seems a rather bold statement until one considers how prevalent comics and comic strip characters are.
