Studies on Antibodies

[摘要] Antimeningococcus serums were dried by the method previously used with antipneumococcus serums. Solutions of the dried materials made up a short time after the drying gave practically the same antibody content by agglutination tests as the original materials. As with the dried antipneumococcus serums, the agglutinating titers of solutions of dried antimeningococcus serums kept at room temperatures for longer periods of time were greatly diminished. The possible relation of agglutination results to clinical efficacy was discussed. The change in solubility of dried preparations on standing for longer periods of time and the significance of insolubility and inactivation of antibody preparations in this connection were considered briefly.
