Growth of Mouse Encephalomyelitis Virus in Murine Nervous Tissue Tumors

[摘要] Theiler's GDVII strain of mouse encephalomyelitis virus can be propagated in certain murine nervous tissue tumors but not in others. Tumor tissue grown in mice, embryonated eggs or tissue cultures varied considerably in its capacity to support growth of virus.There was no correlation between the capacity of brain tissue of a given strain of mice and the capacity of tumor tissue from the same strain to support virus proliferation.
