Studies of Blood Group Substances

[摘要] 1. 1. A goat immunized with a human H substance without Leb activity produced IgM and IgG anti-H antibodies.2. 2. The IgG anti-H contained two populations of antibodies with different specificities. The major population was inhibited by either type I or II difucosyl oligosaccharides, and the minor population was inhibited best by a type I monofucosyl H oligosaccharide.3. 3. The IgM antibody was inhibited less readily by haptens than was the IgG antibody. The best inhibitor was a type I monofucosyl H oligosaccharide.4. 4. It is proposed that anti-LebL antisera are directed against a type I difucosyl determinant, whereas anti-LebH antisera react well with either type I or II difucosyl determinants.
