Immunologic Studies on Aspirin

[摘要] Aspiryl-chloride was conjugated with bovine γ-globulin (BGG), rabbit γ-globulin (RGG) and crystallized egg albumin (CEA). Rabbit antisera were prepared by immunization with these conjugates incorporated in Freund's adjuvant. Antibodies to native carrier proteins were observed in antisera to conjugated BGG and CEA, but not RGG.All antisera contained antibodies to aspiryl hapten and antibodies to antigenic sites which were created during the conjugation procedure and were apparently formed by both the hapten and the carrier. These sites had different antigenic structure in the three conjugates under investigation.
