[摘要] Two complement-dependent demyelinating antibodies were isolated from the serum of acutely symptomatic multiple sclerosis patients. Demyelinating activity was associated with both the 19 S and 7 S fractions. Isolation procedures showed that the demyelinating factor associated with the 19 S fraction was IgM, while the demyelinating factor associated with the 7 S fraction belonged to the IgG class of immunoglobulins.
