Staphylococcal Delayed Hypersensitivity in Mice
[摘要] Tuberculin-type (delayed) hypersensitivity to staphylococci can be induced in mice by eight weekly subcutaneous injections of 103 viable staphylococci per injection. Such hypersensitive mice demonstrate a positive footpad reaction (swelling) when injected with a 200-µg dose of staphylococcal antigen. Hypersensitivity can also be transferred to normal recipient mice via lymphoid cells from sensitized donors. Such passively sensitized recipients also react positively when footpad tested. Delayed hypersensitivity cannot be passively transferred with plasma, nonviable cells or cell-free extracts from hypersensitive donors.
