The Incidence of Neutralizing Antibodies for Type A and Type B Influenza Virus in Normal Infants and Children
[摘要] 1. 1. Sera were obtained from 212 normal infants and children during the winter and spring of 1947, and the neutralizing antibody titers for types A and B influenza viruses were obtained, using the Hirst agglutination-inhibition technic.2. 2. Titers ranged from below 1–20 up to 1–1280, with the majority between 1–20 and 1–160. There was some indication of a higher average titer for type B than for type A.3. 3. The data reported herein should supply basic information regarding the incidence of neutralizing antibodies in normal infants and children during a nonepidemic period.
