Stimulation of Immunoglobulin and Anamnestic Antibody in Vitro

[摘要] Fragments of lymph node from previously immunized rabbits were secondarily stimulated in vitro and placed under tissue culture conditions with the addition of 14C-leucine to the culture media. Antibody synthesis as determined by incorporation of leucine began earlier than that detectable by passive hemagglutination. It was found that in such cultures the secondary antibody response was superimposed on a steady synthesis of immunoglobulin, possibly antibody directed against other antigens.
