Metabolic Studies of Rickettsiae
[摘要] The oxidation of glutamic acid by purified suspensions of Rickettsia mooseri has been traced through a series of reactions involving α-ketoglutaric, succinic, fumaric, malic, oxalacetic, and pyruvic acids as intermediate steps. No evidence has been obtained for the participation of any of the tricarboxylic acids in this process, though such participation cannot be excluded with certainty at the present time.
