Chemical and Immunological Studies on a Heterophile Fraction Isolated from Bovine Erythrocyte Stroma

[摘要] 1. 1. Chemical analysis of an extract obtained from bovine erythrocyte stroma revealed it to be of a proteinaceous nature.2. 2. Nine amino acids were identified as lysine, glutamic acid, serine, glycine, threonine, alanine, aspartic acid, leucine and isoleucine from acid hydrolysates of the extract via paper chromatography.3. 3. Electrophoretic determinations indicated the extract to contain four discernible portions, three of which carried a portion of the immunologic activity.4. 4. Enzymatic hydrolysis of the extract with proteinases destroyed all immunologic activity.
