Cutaneous Hypersensitivity in Brucellosis
[摘要] 1. 1. By the use of chromatography and differential solubility in butanol two brucella fractions were separated from the antigen soluble in Lorol, namely, fraction A which represented the skin test antigen and fraction B which was inactive as a skin test antigen. Acid hydrolysis yielded the same 11 ninhydrin-reactive components from both fractions.2. 2. Antiserum to Br. suis precipitated fraction B according to chromatographic data and bioassay. The supernate from the precipitin tests contained the allergen.3. 3. In terms of the amount of nitrogen needed for skin tests on experimentally infected animals, fraction A was nonantigenic when injected into rabbits intravenously whereas fraction B readily stimulated the production of agglutinins.
