Studies on the Mechanism of Immunity in Typhus Fever

[摘要] Typhus-immune serum contains complement-binding antibodies for Rickettsia prowazeki (Mexican type), but not for B. proteus X-19 or X-19 SSS.The sera from rabbits immunized against B. proteus X-19 fix complement in the presence of Rickettsia prowazeki as well as with the homologous antigens.
