Serologic Specificity of Lung Tissue

[摘要] The serum of rabbits immunized with alcoholic extracts of beeflung in combination with hog serum or with beef lung suspensions reacted strongly with beef lung lipoid in complement fixation tests.The antiserum did not react with alcoholic extracts of other beef organs.There was a slight reaction with alcoholic extracts of lungs of heterologous species.The positive reactions were intensified by the addition of commercial lecithin to the fixing reagents.Boiling for a short time did not destroy the fixing reagent.Skin-tests according to a method described by Shwartzman proved negative.
