Serum Sickness in Rabbits

[摘要] By treating antisera (horse) of various types with heat and alkali over specified periods of time, the factor causing serum-sickness in rabbits can be destroyed.By varying the concentration of alkali, temperature, time of heating and dilution of the serum-alkali mixture, it is possible to treat serum so that a major part of the antibody potency may be preserved and the factor causing serum-sickness in rabbits destroyed.
