Kinetics of Human Complement
[摘要] 1. 1. At least two different mechanisms are responsible for the decay of the complex EAhuC′A.2. 2. The increase in the rate of decay with increasing concentration of EAhuC′A follows a sigmoid curve.3. 3. Exposure of a single batch of EA to successive cycles of formation and decay of intermediate complexes results in decreasing lytic susceptibility to C′3 until a minimum is reached. The behavior of whole human and guinea pig complement with these cells is described.4. 4. A hypothesis is advanced to described these results which postulates an equilibrium between decayed compopents of complement in the sensitized cell and fresh complement in solution.
