Sa Virus—A New Member of the Myxovirus Group

[摘要] 1. 1. Isolation of a virus pathogenic for hamsters by the intracerebral (IC) route is described and the virus designated the SA virus.2. 2. Evidence is presented to indicate this virus is a new member of the myxovirus group.3. 3. Evidence that this virus is capable of infecting man is reviewed.4. 4. No direct evidence is as yet available to indicate that this virus is capable of causing human disease.
