Specificity and Cross-Localization of Anti-Kidney Antibodies

[摘要] Antibodies were prepared in rabbits against rat kidney and labelled with radioiodine. Groups of rats were given the labelled antibodies: 1) directly, 2) after passage through nephrectomized rats, 3) after passage through normal rats. The measurement of radioactivity of the organs shows that part of the antibodies in the anti-kidney antiserum tested which localize normally in kidney were directed against components in common with liver and other tissues; and that part were directed against kidney-specific components.
