Vascularization of the Cornea During Delayed Hypersensitivity Reactions

[摘要] Vascularization of the cornea occurs following intracorneal test injections. In guinea pigs with delayed hypersensitivity, positive corneal reactions occur at a time when this vascularization is well developed. The corneal reaction of delayed hypersensitivity thus does not occur in an avascular tissue, and blood vessels may participate in this immunologic reaction as they do in others.
