An Adaptation of the Immunoelectrophoretic Method for the Use of Chicken-Precipitating Antisera

[摘要] To create optimum conditions to test chicken-precipitating antibody by immunoelectrophoresis, it was necessary to increase the NaCl content of the agar strip. Clear, sharp differentiation of precipitin lines was evident when the agar contained 1.0 to 2.0% NaCl. Lesser amounts failed to precipitate all antigen-antibody systems and greater amounts produced diffuseness which made interpretation difficult.
