Passive Uveal Anaphylaxis in Guinea Pigs

[摘要] Passive anaphylactic reactions were obtained in albino guinea pigs by injection of antibody into the vitreous body or into the anterior chamber of the eye.When the antibody is injected into both the vitreous body and the anterior chamber, only the anterior part of the uvea participates in the reaction. Edema of the tissues, changes in the permeability of the capillaries (especially small veins), presence of polymorphonuclear leukocytes in large numbers in the anterior chamber and around the ciliary body are observed.The posterior uvea does not seem to participate in these anaphylactic reactions.
