The Effect of Endotoxin on the Antibody Response of Transferred Spleen Cells
[摘要] The antibody response of mouse spleen cells transferred to an isologous recipient by intravenous injection was studied. It was confirmed that nonsensitized normal cells made detectable quantities of antibody when stimulated with antigen immediately after transfer. If the antigenic stimulus was delayed to day 5 or day 10 after cell transfer, no antibody was found. The addition of bacterial endotoxin to the antigenic challenge increased the antibody titer and cells otherwise unresponsive responded normally.
