Immunochemical Studies of the Rh System

[摘要] Analysis of the γ-globulin content and Rh antibody activity of eluates obtained from red cells of different phenotypes has revealed significant heterogeneity in the capacity of Rh antigens to bind and retain antibodies.Eluates prepared from red cells sensitized with anti-Rh1,2 were successfully labeled with I131. The uptake of these labeled antibodies by red cells of different phenotypes revealed the antibody specificity to be anti-Rh1. However, the amounts of radioactivity bound by red cells of several Rh:1 phenotypes varied significantly and the observed differences changed as the amount of available antibody increased.
