Obscured Reactions in the Agglutination Test for Bacillary White Diarrhea

[摘要] The agglutination test for bacillary white diarrhea is frequently obscured by a precipitate, the principal constituent of which is protein. Two cubic centimeters of a 2 per cent water solution of NaOH added to 100 cc. of E. sanguinaria antigen did not influence its agglutinability and eliminated 95 per cent of the “cloudy tests” when added just before setting up the test.
