A Hemolysis Inhibition Test for the Detection of Antibodies to Newcastle Disease Virus

[摘要] Within given conditions, the greater the concentration of Newcastle Disease Virus, the greater was the hemolysis produced in chicken red cells, and the greater the amount of immune serum added to the virus, the greater was the inhibition of hemolysis. Based on these findings, a laboratory test for NDV antibodies is presented. The results of the hemolysis inhibition test correlated with a hemagglutination inhibition test.
