Fractionation of Rh Antiserum by Electrophoresis-Convection

[摘要] The utility of the method of electrophoresis-convection in immunological investigations on limited amounts of material has been demonstrated by the fractionation of an Rh antiserum. The resulting serum fractions have been characterized electrophoretically and serologically. At least a considerable portion of the Rh blocking antibody appeared to be associated with a γ-globulin fraction of low mobility. In contrast to this, the cryptagglutinoid antibodies were distributed throughout the γ-globulin. About 25% of the cryptagglutinoids also appeared to be associated with α- and/or β-globulins.
