Immunochemical Studies on Tobacco Mosaic Virus

[摘要] The presence of antigenic determinants common to both tobacco mosaic virus and its rib-grass strain has been confirmed by means of the quantitative precipitin technique. Immunologically independent determinants for each virus were also found. There was no serological difference found for either tobacco mosaic virus or rib-grass virus when each was isolated from widely separated plant species. Immunoehemical studies failed to indicate that there was any normal host protein as a component of any of the virus preparations.
