Quantitative Estimation of O Agglutinins in Typhoid Sera

[摘要] A quantitative microchemical method has been applied to the determination of O agglutinins in sera of typhoid fever patients, rabbit antisera and sera of vaccinated persons.The antibody N values in typhoid sera have been found to range from 0.056 mg/ml to 0.190 mg/ml with a considerable increase in later stages of the illness, and in accordance with the rise in the agglutinative titer.The antibody N values for persons vaccinated three to five months previously were only about 25 per cent as compared with patients' sera.
