Complement Fixation by Aggregated IgE through Alternate Pathway
[摘要] Nonspecifically aggregated E myeloma protein fixed late component(s) of guinea pig and human C. Evidence was presented that the C fixation by the aggregate probably goes through an alternate pathway. Comparisons among aggregated Fc, aggregated F(ab′)2 and aggregated IgE with respect to the C-fixing activity showed that aggregated Fc had the highest C-fixing activity on a weight basis and indicated that structures essential for the reaction are present in the Fc portion of the molecules.
