Effects of Pyran Copolymer on Oncogenic Virus Infections in Immunosuppressed Hosts

[摘要] The effects of pyran copolymer on polyoma virus oncogenesis and Rauscher virus leukemogenesis were evaluated in immunosuppressed mice. Mice immunosuppressed by adult thymectomy and antilymphocyte serum were protected by pyran copolymer against tumor development following subsequent polyoma virus inoculation. Similarly immunosuppressed mice were also protected against early erythroblastosis and late lymphomas induced by Rauscher virus. The mechanisms of protection appeared to be secondary to macrophage activation and enhanced phagocytosis induced by pyran copolymer.
