Promethazine-HCl as an Immunosuppressant

[摘要] The effects of promethazine-HCl on humoral antibody synthesis and on delayed hypersensitivity have been evaluated. The primary and secondary immune responses to bovine serum albumin (BSA) and bovine γ globulin (BGG) were significantly reduced. There was a highly significant reduction in tuberculin hypersensitivity when the drug was administered before and during the development of the hypersensitive state.
