Studies on Chick-Embryo-Adapted Rabies Virus

[摘要] The Flury strain at its high egg passage levels was found to immunize adult mice injected intracerebrally against challenge with street virus. Parenteral administration of the virus to mice failed to stimulate a uniform immunity response. No major antigenic differences were observed between the low and high egg passages of the virus. A single administration of the latter induced immunity in dogs, calves, monkeys and chimpanzees. Brief comment was made about these findings.
