Experimental Studies in Trichomoniasis

[摘要] 1. (1) Intramuscular or intra-abdominal immunization of mice with live cultures of Trichomonas vaginalis produced marked protection against reinfection by both these routes, but the immunity against subcutaneous reinfection was much less pronounced.2. (2) Immunization of mice by the subcutaneous route conferred immunity against the intramuscular, but not against subcutaneous or the intra-abdominal reinfection.3. (3) The healing of the primary subcutaneous lesion was followed by a period of residual immunity of at least 4 weeks' but less than 7 weeks' duration.
