Reovirus Infection in Suckling Mice: Immunofluorescent and Infectivity Studies
[摘要] When reovirus type 1 was inoculated subcutaneously into suckling mice a generally nonfatal pantropic infection ensued. Infectious virus was recovered from most of the tissues tested from 1 hr to at least 20 days later. The greatest amounts of virus were recovered from 3 to 12 days after inoculation. Similarly, viral antigens were observed by fluorescent antibody staining in numerous tissues from 3 to 12 days after inoculation, with maximal antigenic distribution occurring from the 6th to the 9th days.
