Incorporation of Amino Acids into Antibody during the Secondary Response
[摘要] Rabbits were injected with S35-yeast protein hydrolysate during a primary response to ovalbumin (OA). Two to eight weeks later, a secondary response to OA and a simultaneous primary response to bovine serum albumin (BSA) were elicited. The S35 content of the immune precipitates formed by OA were found to be very similar to those formed by BSA. We conclude that very little of the antibody formed in the interval between the primary and secondary response was stored to be released during the anamnestic reaction, and that the bulk of antibody present in the circulation during the secondary response was formed after the second stimulation with the antigen.
