Study of Cellular Mechanisms in Resistance to Systemic Histoplasma Capsulatum Infection

[摘要] An isotope assay method is described for following intracellular digestion (cytopepsis) in macrophages in vitro and in vivo . This procedure, in conjunction with morphologic and cultural methods, has been used to study cytopeptic capacities of macrophages derived from normal and immunized mice. Immunization was shown to induce a degree of auxocytopepsis which was independent of mediation by circulating or added antibody.
