Studies on the Immunologic Mechanism of Anaphylaxis

[摘要] Two rabbit antibodies with specificity for well defined haptenic groups were studied. It was shown that haptens were unable to provoke PCA reactions in the guinea pig. Evidence for their interaction in vivo with specific antibody was, however, furnished by the demonstration of transitory protection against challenge with the complete antigen. These findings indicate that interactions in vivo between simple “monovalent” haptens and specific antibody do not provoke anaphylactic reactions.
