Further Observations on the Effect of Type-I Pneumococcus Culture Broth on the Phagocytic Action of Type-I Pneumococcus Serum

[摘要] The inhibitory action of pneumococcus broth on phagocytosis in the previous experiments, as in these, appeared to be the result of reactions between the culture broth and the immune serum. In the experiments recorded in this paper, these reactions between the immune serum and culture broth paralleled and appeared to be associated with the reaction by which the precipitative activities of the serum were absorbed when treated with the homologous culture broth.
